This body of work was created over many years, many horizons and many miles and it continues on today. The conceptual thread that drives the framing, subject and location is about both scale and human encroachment on every part of the land, however remote or inhospitable it may be.

Images captured at a wide angle, exposing the smallest distant detail within the larger viewport. The observer is caught between the scale of the scene and the smaller human details that are at once familiar but seemingly out of place; an almost unnatural alliance.

These images are meant to be viewed at full resolution, full size, and on paper. The size of the raw image, the juxtaposition of scale to detail, can only be fully appreciated when printed to full resolution. This provides a challenge when presenting this portfolio online.
